1. What carries the general sensation of the anterior 2/3 of the tongue?
Infact can you please explain everything about the innervation of the tongue - cheers

extream posterior---both taste & general---by vagus nerve..

The ant.2/3 of the tongue is associated with pharyngeal arch 1:
General sensation....> the lingual branch of CN V.
Tast sensation.....>chorda tympani of CN VII
The post.1/3 of the tongue is associated with pharyngeal arch 3:
General sensation and taste......> CN IX
Intrinsic and extrinsic muscles of the tongue are derived from myoblasts that migrate into the tongue region from occipital somites.....> motor innervation is supplied by CN XII.
