i wanted to know , what is the maximum amount of time it takes for a document sent by First Class Mail International option of USPS to India? the website doesnt mention any time limit for this option.that option is the cheapest option of sending a letter to foreign countries. cost is about 98 cents for one standard sized letter. for all other options like 1st Class Priority International mail there are time limits mentioned in which we should receive the letter

the reason i am asking this is beacuse i am expecting a letter from US. but it has already been 6 weeks and there is no sign of the letter. the people who are supposedd to send that letter are saying that they already sent that letter.

does it take so long for a letter to reach India, even by the cheapest option??

It takes about 12 days for any post to reach India. (sometimes extra 2 or 3 days. )
But 6 weeks is a very long time.

TRY DHL...It gets there in about 3 days for about 42$.
