Hi Harry
good to see you are studying again today. I like when you are on here with your info it is pretty helpful. Especially lately when I post my ccs cases. I find that when I put them on here it feels like I am doing the real thing. I kinda freeze up sometimes when I am trying to do it. I blank out as compared to me writing it on paper.
I saw you say on another post that you have 4 days left to your test. I wish you well. I should have taken my test long time ago but keep feeling like I am not ready. Took nbme in march and got 200 and depressed by it so have not taken it again also did not have money to purchase it again.
Any way did you do PR notes? I am reading it again myself for like that 8th time. Still not feeling like I know stuff. Any advise to help me? New test date is Mid august. Thanks Harry.

Thnx for wishes oncogene.
My nbme 10 days ago was 370.
and my score in step 1 & 2 are not great (less then 90)
so i am not good person to give advice.
My study schedule is as follows
started step 3 studies around 3 months ago
first did step 2 ck kaplan books + uw (topic wise)
then revised uw again with PR notes. (every line in PR notes are high yield)
then did Kap Q bank.
Also did Jason FM book for Cardio, Inf Ds, neuro, respi, endo & some topics (not complete)
During second reading, i started building concepts from questions.
Try to learn facts from questions (more effective then reading books)
now in last 2 wks: i am reading my notes.
I feel posting qs here & answering qs on forum sharpens memory...atleast we remember what we marked wrong here & what was explanation...
and u can never learn everything in IM....
So try to revise UW with PR notes....
If any doubt in any topic...go to either uptodate.com or aafp.org....confirm that & share with friends on forum or ur study partner & u will never forget that..
Will post more queries after my exam....
Good Luck & don't ever loose hope...

yea i read the ck books twice between September and December last year. My uw is finish so cannot review it any more. I did write down the educational points from it. also did kaplan an made a couple notes from their educational objectives. My scores were low in both in the beginning but as i continued they improved but my overall score reflected what I got initially.
So now I guess I am trying to memorize PR notes. did the ER only in Jason. Was bored so I stopped. Guess will check out the other sections you mention. My step 1 and 2 were not good either with multiple attempts. Think thats why I am nervous about this one. Its hard to see other people that study for less time and taking the test and doing so well on everything both the exam and uw, and kaplan.
