A HIV +ve pt comes with odynophagia, his cd4 count is 40 & on antiviral meds
whats the tx for his odynophagia?

MCC is Candida which will be treated with fluconazole. If not improvement is seen in 3-4 days then is either Herpes or CMV. Diagnosis will be made based on endoscopy

most likely candidiasis ... so rx with fluconazole (life long)
