pat with 1week h/o fever ,abd pain continues to work.past two days pain worsens now loc to rt iliac fossa.exam shows tender ilia fossa NO GUARDING & RIGIDITY. MX?A]CONSERVATIVE& LATER ELECTIVE APPENDECTOMY
MY DOUBT IS IF THIS PAT HAD GUARDING & RIGIDITY OR SYMPTOM ONSET

guarding & rigidity means generalized peritonitis - so emergency appendectomy

pt had appendicitis..nw omentum z covering inflammed appendix..(body/s protective mech) so dnt disturb it...just gv bowel rest antiio n fluid....once resolved do appendicectomy...
if had guarding/rigidity------------den perforation of appendix den he needs Emergency rx like percut drainage or lap.. |
