what is the cause of acute renal failure in a patient in a nursing home who has not eaten or drank anything for a while,patient is dehydrated,past history of stroke,rised BUN and creatinine .He has pyuria and no haematuria.He has not urinated in past 12 hours.After catheterisation,100 ml of dark yellow urine is removed.what is it????

BPH is causing urinary retention.......may be leading to back pressure, and acute tubular necrosis?
