what happens to renin activity in malignant hypertension?
1.increase
2.decrease
3.no change
4.increase and then decrease

I think it increases. cause from onion arthriosclerosis, renal perfusion decrease. No source, it is just logic. It may not work dude.

4....? initial increase due to hypoperfusion, and then enough HTN to cause decreased renin later on???

malignant hypertension causes secondary hyperaldosteronism,so there is stimulation of R-A-A axis due to chronic intravascular volume depletion.both renin & aldosterone are elevated.
