Dear Applicant, Each year the Residency Match becomes more and more competitive as more and more applicants are pursuing higher levels of achievements. This year our program received 1,600 applications for 10 open residency positions in our training program. The Residency Review and Selection Committee at UAB Montgomery Internal Medicine Residency, Montgomery, Alabama, have reviewed your application for a residency position in our program. Due to the large volume of applications for a small community based academic program, it was difficult to narrow our selection for interviews down to a manageable number, but we managed to do so and finally, complete our interview list. Unfortunately, we cannot interview everyone and we regret to inform you that your application for interview has been denied. UAB, req step3, and also prefer canditates from alabama. 95%residents in UAB are from ALabama only.

u are partly right, they prefer ppl from AL. but step 3 is not required!! i know several ppl who got iv without s3! don't know what they are looking for.
