I was a silent observer of this forum but really this forum helped me a lot.I gave my exam on 5&7 dec got result on 6th .Special thanks to meshi, northeast,ht09.
studied for 3 months read MTB,few topics from kaplan medicine step2,did uw & kaplan q bank
my final score is 82 ( thou its not gr8) bt FINALLY USMLE ISOVER!!nbme 7 weeks before the exam got 380,gave uw assesment 4 wks before the exam got 470(210).Not in residency...guys this exam is not impossible just time is the major constraint..if u have any quests I will more then willing to answer

congrats on yr success. u must be relieved now. i need lil advice from you. i have been prep for step 3 since dec mid. my xam is in jan end. am through 40% of UW scoring 50% rt now.
i might do only UW n take the xam. do u think its a good idea as i dont have time. is it doable in 5 week? my step 2 ck was in 2008.

thanks a lot drmyocyte!!i guess you should finish your uw & then give any self assesment exam as that will tell u your weak points so tht you can work hard on them .I am not saying that your score can be correlated but better to know about your weak points before the exam rather then knowing it later on your score sheet..if u have good scores in step 2 u can take a risk

bt without doing uw i will nt recommend going for the exam

I know how it feels to finally it over with.
Did exam Dec 7,8 and got result Jan 6.
No more USMLE thats the most imp.
It's a long and ridiculously tiring exam which tests ur endurance mainly.
Can not specifically recommend any review materials but the UW questions and Qbank definitely was helpful.
I heard from someone else who passed the exam the second attempt Kaplan Qbank was better. That person did UW first attempt.
But I just did UW anyway since its cheaper.

Sorry for the late reply!! i just read uw practised cases 4 times...if u master uw then u will be able to manage the cases in the exam ,thou cases are not same.
