introduces negative supercoils in a single DNA strand..
topoisomerase II does tht with both the strands at the same time

inhibited by etoposide (anti-cancer)
and quinolones (anti bacterial ) am not sure which one is for wht

dna gyrase (topoisomerase II) introduce the negative supercoiling by cutting both strands and resealing
dna topoisomerase I can relax the supercoil, by cutting and resealing one strand

Quinolones inhibits dna topoisomerase II in prokaryotes
Etoposide, teniposide inhibits dna topoisomerase II in eukaryotes

That's my understanding; if I am wrong please correct me.
