Hi iza, it depends on many factors, like whether u r in US or not, your visa status, research experience...etc. there r people with score of 75, 76 got into residency. so it depends on so many factors. but if you work hard and apply carefully by researching the programmse, u will get into a programme, i guess internal medicine or family practice, paeds. if I were you, i would target a high score in step 2 and apply. Good luck.

They will look into what you have done from graduation until now. If you haven't done anything related to medical field, well I guess programs are reluctant to take you. Especially there are many fresh graduates as applicants.
Your best bet is try to find hospital to do some oberverships in your area. Establish good connections with physicians in those hospitals, especially hospitals with residency programs. sorry, I can't give you a bright picture. But it is my honest opinion.

I am also a mom , i will like to say to you if you have to work while taking steps , try to get into clinical research job. Since you have GC you can apply for jobs. It will be relevant and will help you in finding a spot for residency. Also you will get a few LOr too
