Hi, here is my personal experience.

- Year of graduation 2006
- My scores are 80/78/cs passed all in first attempt
- I had 2 LOR from US and 2 from home country, specifically from my medical school
- 2 month of USCE in a university program and 2 month in a private practice
- I need Visa
- Applied to Peds, on Nov 4th, only to 28 programs, I got 5 interviews (only one along, the other 4 with contacts)
- I got a prematch offer in my third interview.

I have to say thank you first to GOD and second to my wife and family for the support. I want to t tell you that you have low scores, you have to work hard to get contacts, to know people inside the programs, to do an extremely good interviews. This is very important.
Also is very important to get clear what is your real position and work in based of that.

applied to 48 hospitals on sept 15th, 14 interviews only did 8 (personal reasons)

My advise is to be aware of your strengths and weakness to make sure you make your application works on your behalf! even your biggest mistakes or flaws can be used to your advantage!

Got 8 IV..1 IM 7 FM
Prematch offer: 1..I refused it cause a nice letter fromPD telling will rank me high
I Matched today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not have any research or publications of any kind. Out of my 3 LORS, two were good, and one was just mediocre.
