Congratulations to all those who have matched and I wish good luck to all those going to apply for next match..
Guys I need some advice..
I am an IMG 2006 graduate. Presently I am volunteering in cardiology research. I also have an oppurtunity to start Neurology research from next week...

I heard that these two are separate tracks and it may affect my CV. Guys please give your opinion is it the right thing to do research in cardiology and neurology simultaneuosly...

I am very much confused whether to start the Neurology research or not...please help me with your valuable suggestions.

Thanks.

Martin.

ure cardiology research is going to help u in ure IM speciality,
but if u r thinking of having psychiatry as ure back up plan, then this neurology research esp if it is clinical , is going to help u out in getting interviews in psychiatry, one of my friend did this and landed up getting interviews in IM and Psychiatry, and ultimately matched in IM prelim, and really worked hard to have good rapport, got pgy2 in the same hospital, visa was also needed

I think u should avail the opportunity of this neurology research and u can always say in interview that u were availing the opportunities wht ever u were getting as it is really hard to get observorship or extenship here

wish u all the best
