I am 2004 graduate, need visa
Step 1- 93, Step 2- 79 (second attempt), CS pass and step 3- 94 (second attempt)
Have done 15 months of externship in Psychiatry in Canada.
Please suggest me something. I am really confused and desperate.

really surprised! is psychiatry becoming that much competitive! may be you didnt apply to too many programs, because I dont see any point why you didnt get any calls, your scores are OK for psychiatry , the only two drawbacks are an attempt and being old graduate , and unfortuantely thoses really hurt.

just one more thing to add to ur profiel is to get some US extersnhip in psychaitry,, u do have a pretty good chances,, keep the spirit up and go for it

psychiatry is very competitive and its a good field so stop under-rating psych

I am a psychiatry resident. This year for the first time the incoming first year batch has all american graduate. Internal medicine program at my university went for scramble. There is change in preference among american graduates for psychiatry.It is no longer less competitive specialty now.
