IMG seminar by Directors & Attorneys next Saturday - imgseminar
#1
IMGs now have a rare opportunity to learn directly from current residency program directors, ways improve their chances of getting a residency position. At the upcoming IMG seminar, program directors will explain IMGs
1. How they view an ERAS application? What criteria, besides USMLE scores, are used to screen candidates?
2. How much emphasis is placed on US Clinical Experience? How do they assess externships, observerships etc,?Which one truly counts as USCE?
3. How to write an effective personal statement (because directors do read them!)?
4. What is a sub-par, average, good and excellent Letter of Recommendation? Samples of these LoRs will be shown for better understanding.
5. How to compensate for poor USMLE scores?
6. How can an old graduate compete more effectively?

The seminar is an informal forum and all questions that the participating IMGs might have, will be addressed.
FIRST NINE APPLICANTS TO REGISTER WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR A MOCK INTERVIEW WITH THE DIRECTORS.
