Hip dislocation - rickytmk

Is there any importance in differentiating between ant and post hip dislocation? as I aware both will lead to avascular necrosis if delay in reduction of femoral head but does it really matter whether it is anterior or posterior? Which one has a better or worse prognosis? thanks!

as far as i've read, the treatment and procedures are the same whether it's
an anterior or posterior dislocation. Posterior is more common than Anterior. just know the signs for each, which you probably already know. [anterior]: externally rotated + aBDucted [posterior]: internally rotated + aDDucted |
