Type I should increase
Type II should no change( or say not predictable)
P value should go up i.e increase
Statistical power should have no change..
risk of selection bias, increases..
but I'm just guessing. lolz.

i guess i am not getting the question..like it says..lowering st. siginificance so as per hint it also mean low p value... but if you lower p value it is more significant..right?

sorry for saying statistical significance is p value...i mean it is alpha value....
to make my question clear what is the effect of changing the statistical significance from .05 to .01....(which is alpha value )
