I am done with step 1 and step 2 ck and cs.
Now planning for step 3..

Am i suppose to be in residency program to be eligible for step 3?
Am i suppose to be a resident of state for which i am applying?

--No, (but you need ecfmg certificate._
--Some states.

most apply through connecticut or delaware (no need of residency and/or no bar of yrs)

Also i am having average scores ... but if i will score higher in step 3 ,will it help me in residency???

please reply.. i have no one to really guide me.

during application, you need to choose those states (delaware or connecticut, you need to read it yourself when you will apply).

but you can take your exam in any states of usa (only usa).

prepare well, next you can apply one month before to write exam.

step 3 can be a help to get in residency if you have low scores, or old grad , or any other deficiency as example long time away from clinic.

how many people do you know they have spouse/siblings/relatives etc to guide?
not many.
most are like you.
so, stay here.

it does not mater. you can choose those states (any one) even you apply from "other states".
