you know there is something wrong with NBME or something. Because there was another person couple of days ago with similar post. They were perfectly well in all other sources (ie. UW, Kaplan qbook, CD and Kaplan qbank), but then all of sudden saw a sudden drop in nbme. I really doubt that nbme is an accurate measure of step 3 exam.

Your UW score is good. It's definitely in the passing range. Kaplan qbook also seems decent. Did you do kaplan qbank? If yes, what's ur average in that? I have heard and correlated scores from different post and can make a valid assessment that anything above 400 in UWSA is a possible pass.

When is the d-day for your exam? If you haven't done Kaplan qbank, then i would suggest you to go ahead and complete that bank as well. It doesn't take that long. if you complete 200/day..max 7 days.

If you're not in residency, then i don't think you should be extremely eager to take this exam. I don't know your personal circumstances, but take your time if you're not in residency. (just my 0.02 cents)

first of all thanks a ton for the response
my dates for the exam are on 16/17 of this month
and i didnt do kaplan qbank.
I wish i had done kaplan though but
the problem is time constraints as i have already
preplanned things based on my uwsa.............
thats gonna be a huge loss and total dissappointment
but i wanna know how far is nbme valid?
is it just an odd exam or m i really bad to fail
i took it today n was devastated by the result
it totally crashed my confidence...............
so do u suggest me to get above 400 on nbme and
then go about the test or can i go n take it?

thanks a ton and please do respond..........

I know what u must be feeling. See my post from last week.

I don't see any point in repeating NBME as u have seen the qs now. I for myself have dropped the idea of taking the test for now.
Good luck!
