30 yo F presents for her regular checkup. No complains consern about her BP, as it has been high on both of her previous visits over the past 2 month.
Rx- Lisinopril?
Can somebody explain why it is not HTZ? Thank you

does the pt have proteinuria or renal failure if yes then ace inhibitors

I guess she is young and ~ 5-10 of causes are from renal artery stenosis, so u use ACE instead of HCT.

55 most common cause of HTN is renal......
but it will have proteinuria or some kind of renal pathology.....

55 of yrs of age mmc of HTN is renal...

less than 35 yrs of age and greater than 55 yrs of age mcc of htn is renal
