to M.Saeed - hoikison

dear M. Saeed, I just read that you made a comment that a 73 is better than a 75, although I am certainly not in either category, I do know of people in both, so let me explain the difference to you, with a 75, you can get a residency, with a 73 obviously you cannot. You yourself are in no position to be saying things like this to judge people, so do be careful of what you say here, and think out your comments before you speak them.

hoikson, 73 can never be better than 75. This we all know. M. saaed was just trying to console his/her friend. It was his/her opinion, although logically and mathematically wrong. It should not call for an angry diatribe.

He was saying it is better to fail than to get a 75 and lock in a score which you cannot change.

I did not understand the philosophy of hoikison,
Definitely 73 much better than 75 , if u can repeat the exam and got 80s or even 90s much better than u stuck with75 , specially if u r immigrant , which program will accept 75 in step 2 ???????? it is happened I know but what is the chance 1% or little more .
if u r in his place can u tell me what is better for u have a chance to repeat or got 75?????????

I got a 79 step 1 and 81 in step 2. I consider myself MOST fortunate to have passed the boards. Passing a board exam is a HUGE achievement. I know what you are saying, I am going into psych so I dont care about have those scores as I am going into a low-competition residency and I am a US citizen.

If you are going into surgery you may want to aim for higher scores, but for someone with multiple failures a 75 is a big achievement just to pass.

Remember: Pass=MD. Pass=Residency.

It is good here to speak freely without any sequela for yourself to worry about. If you can't do it here, I cannot imagine....... Reader just have to take whatever they feel right. There is no absolute true to all the people.
