Please ignore generalhelp. Dr Shaun has been unable to verify any of his claims or even his credentials or even his name which we find very dubious!

I was exactly in the same boat. Even worse I must say because my failure score was even worse than yours. But I am very determined person. Yes I cried, grieved but only for few days. I bounce back within 2 months I retake my exam and I score 227/99. My step 1 was 198/77.
I was also in same dilemma weather to give cs or retake ck. Initially I thought I will give cs but I couldn't focus on cs. CS first attempt is very important. so i took ck then cs.
Hope this will help.

We thus employ PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (PBL), in which students reinforce and learn concepts by “fully working up,” from the medical case-symptom’s basic science foundations through to the clinically correlated presentations of that medical case, so as to focus on concepts essential to UNDERSTANDING the case. Unlike traditional teaching methods that use a faculty-driven one-sided MEMORIZATION-DRIVEN lecture format, PBL is student-centered and student-driven with mutually active participation through detailed CASE-PRESENTATION, with CRITICAL ANALYSIS by each student, with FURTHER “HANDS-ON” Instructor’s Critiques of the case, every step of the way…

focus on taking it again, and not worry about residency while you are studying. One thing at a time. Do not rush the next attempt. USMLE World and Premier Review are good, with Kaplan step 2 ck notes. First Aid is great for this step, and step I, but not step III.
