a 40 yr old women taking medicines for headche frm long time and suddenly having acute pancreatitis , than due to which drug it happens?
a-aspirin
b-acetaminophen
c-ibuprofen
d-codeine
e-meperidine

this was asked in my frnds real exam, me thinking of codeine?

I think there has been cases of acute pancreatitis in both Codeine and acetaminophen. I think the question would have to provide a bit more detail

Opioids (with the exception of meperidine )cause constraction of biliary tract SM which may lead to acute pancreatitis ,So agree with u on codeine which is moderate oioid analgesics used for her headaches
