i read in eras that ps is upto 28000 characters so iwent on writing and it went upto 13000 character that is 4 pages. Do you think that is a very long ps and i also have assigned it to programs. Please help. Should i alter it and if yes, how can i do that now? i am kind of tense about it. everything about applying is so full of tension man

4 pages is way too long. Though ERAS allows so many characters, it should not be so long. A good estimate is that it should be about 750-850 words. This is roughly equal to one to one and quarter pages. Even 2 pages is too long. It will be very boring for a PD to read so much when there are 1000s of PS waiting to be read by him. You have to alter it. Make sure that you havent written too much about every experience. You need to write only relevant experiences and the things you learned from them and the way they helped you. Your PS should not just be an expanded version of your Resume. Write relevant experiences and keep them concise. Hope that helps. |
