  216/263/passed/245 all first attempt, 2007 grad, 2 observerships, 3 lors, pgy-1 in surgery in my country, green card, no research.
Applying to 103 GS cat, few prelim as backup.  
I think they are looking for very particular candidate.

do you mind telling me what very particular candidates mean? i havn't met a person who matched for general surgery but i'm very curious to know if you knew someone

I say very particular candidate because I have seen rejections to old/recent graduates, with/without USCE, scores doesn't seem the reason.

This is a nice thread, keep going.
96,81,CS (All 1st attempts), 3ms observersip, 1year research (both in universities), MS in GS, Finished residency backhome, good US surgeon LORs.
