Not to wake up when paged for a code during a call :O

And, slight variation on the same scenario... When climbing down the upper bunk bed cause you got paged during a call, not realizing that the stair is not attached properly, falling and beating your head on a corner...
(That, unfortunately, really happened to me during my first night on call in the SubI... I had fierce headaches for days!!!)

moony... let me ask you, what 's the meaning of SubI ? Is it paid program?
11-23-2010, 04:56 PM
@forever07: nope, it's not paid, it's the subinternship, the most advanced clerkship you can do during your last year as a medical student. Same duties, same schedule and responsibilities as an intern (also your orders are cosigned by a PGY2 or 3, not by an intern), you get also to teach to 3rd year med students. The only difference with a real intern, besides the pay, is that you get half the patient load.
