Hi guys,
I need to ask you something, why people in this country get so excited about anything in CA. What is so special about this state?

I got IV in San Bernardino, I am not so crazy about the program but my friends keep telling man you should go dont care about the program, you gonna be in CA.

I google-searched the area and did not find anything extraordinary except that its one and half hour from LA and 2 hours from San Diego

Now my question to people from this country why is that? I am not from here and dont know anything about CA?

I did not apply to this program but I was doing observership in one hospital and my supervisor told me that he knows the PD of the program, he called him and the PD liked me and asked me to apply and got IV..

What do u mean by (exited)?

Now u can tell me, right?

here I go why you should be excited!!!

California is a great state to live in for great weather conditions from mild to desert type climate, wonderful job opportunities, beautiful houses, gorgeous landscape, ocean front views, breathtaking mountains, close by islands, cosmopolitan cities, full of ethnic food, cultural events. All the film industry is there...

Great teaching and research institutes such as UCLA, USC, Caltech, Jet Propulsion Labs, Stanford, and others, you can speak and learn both English and Spanish spontaneously, rich , diverse cultures live side by side..close to Mexico...

You can ski in the mountains in the morning, go and swim, scuba dive in the ocean in the afternoon, then go to the great play at night...Las Vegas is diving distance...

California is the number one hiking place in the USA....the most extensive interstates driving is there...California has in it or borders several National Parks including Yosemite, Mohave, Anza Borrega, Sequoia, Glaciers, Dead Valley, Grand Canyon....driving on the Highyway 1 North is the most breathtaking experience you will have in your life...Mulholland Drive is like dreamland...

Los Angeles and San Francisco are the world known cities for their luxuries life style...best clothes, restaurants, housing, high quality of many things...you will never be bored there...people are more tolerant to minorities, gays, atheists, or to people who are religious...

There are big population of all cultures there...Indians, Chinese, Hispanics, Arabs, Armenians (yup Kardashians there too), Jewish, Turks....

Yo will love the Wineries there...you develop expensive taste for Champagne and white wine there...you will love the meat more, develop taste for sushi, learn how to use tofu for desert....

You will celebrate Christmas at your Jewish boss's home along with your Muslim coworkers with Halal and Kosher food!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should be really excited for going to California...enjoy it for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will love it there...San Bernardino is part of the Southern California!!! Being 1 1/2 hr away from LA is not bad at all!!
