I had my interview at maimonides peds. during ranking in the nrmp list it shows as "Maimonides-primary". Are there both primary and categorical position there? is there any option to rank these seperately?
please give your suggestions.

Maimonides only have primary care...it seems to be a decent program and have good fellowship placement, yet it don't think i am ranking them high because they are primary care.
I asked a friend who is a pediatric attending in the US (and on a residents selection committee) to explain the difference between peds categorical and primary care and he could not really. they all lead to the same place - abp certification and private practice or fellowship. Questions is_ do people really notice the difference?
