hey,i did an elective in the Cardiology in November in cleveland clinic. the elective definitely is one of the most competitive ones with plenty of US residents and students applying for the position, hence the best chance we have is to apply during the winter months wen there is least competition from americans...

moreover, the elective (i m not talking abt observership) can accomodate only 3 students per month max. its a single clinical cardiology consult service where medical students are allowed to rotate, hence they haven't got much room
