Do we need to have the CS result in hand to apply on sep 1st?im planning to take exam in june so my result will come between august 18th and sep 14th.im done with other steps.i cant take CS before june due to some probs.pls answer

Nope...but if you r an IMG you better get ECFMG certified before applying.

If you don't know what a ECFMG certificate is getting the CS result sept 14 is the least of your problem.
ECFMG is the authority that grants you permission to take the steps. At the end of taking and passing step1 -2 CK/CS they will send you a certificate. ALL programs require that you are certified prior to starting your residency. Some programs require that you have your certificate in hand before applying.
