what happens to ANP levels in hemorrhage ? explain.

anp causes diuresis and reduces the effec circulatory volume.
so in haemorr we would expect it to decrease to maitain the circulatory volume.
but recently it has been proven on experiments that anp paradoxically rises after severe haemorrage due to downregulation of anp receptors on glomerular membrae that decreases the excretion of anp rather than dcreasing its levels.

science is such a mystery.i was just thinking of logic and then i read an article stating something totally different.

@versatile : plz keep posting correct answers .i really want to know if my apprach is right?

hey dude...... i dont know the answer........ i just saw this point in goljan & could not understand . thats why posted it here.........to see for the best explanation. your explanation makes sense. this is definitely good point to remember.
