Which looks better? Psychiatry Research or Psychiatry Observership/externship?

This is a tough question but as an IMG applicant you certainly should focus on clinical experience first. This will be better than doing research, this is because not all research is going to be fruitful or solid. first get a solid USCE and then if you have time or need more to enhance your resume, then do research.
