some programs listed on their site yog 5 years but i personally know residents who matched in,whose yog were 7-8 years, what to believe now. my yog is 2006 june should i risk applying programs or its a waste of money and efforts,plz sincere advises and share experiences.thanks a lot

if your credentials are good enough and you remianed in touch with cllinical medicine then you should be fine

You said you personally know residents who matched in, whose yog were 7-8 years. Did they match in places where there is 5 year cut off for YOG ??????????????????.

You should ask the people whom you personally know and got matched in programs with 5 year cut off for YOG. If you get any valuable answer from them, please share with others in the forum. I think they got residency through contact with PDs who took their YOG lightly.
