@lore1206 : thanks, hopefully you matched at your top choice (Baylor !!!). I checked the regional statistic report and I learned there are only 7 positions actually offered in this year match (instead of 16 spots based on NRMP directory) across US for peds-genetics, it's so damn hard to match with that few spots !!! Now I become very skeptical if I matched in one of my top choices. Hoping for a miracle.

the questions are about you. if you dont yourself well enough and need others on an online website to feed you answers, then maybe some inner soul searching is needed.

@shori : I didn't particularly write my answers for common IV questions, instead I used several reference books to figure out the most appropriate responses to those questions. You can easily purchase it online. It did help me a lot.

I'm sure it will work out. They probably interview fewer applicants, so you should be fine. If anything, you can always apply to Genetics once you finish your residency.

And congrats to all that matched! I'm very happy to hear how well Peds applicants did in this forum. On a side note, all of my friends back home matched too so it's been kind of crazy since yesterday lol. It's such a great feeling knowing that your hard work paid off. And to those that didn't match good luck this week in SOAP. I'm sure we'll be hearing great news tomorrow with the first round of offers.

Iserson's Getting Into a Residency: A Guide for Medical Students, 7th Edition by Kenneth V. Iserson MD - standard book for interviews

AMA also released a book exclusively for IMG's ... this was in 2010 i think .. but i am not able to find it online
