Although from experience, research all faculty as some might substitute themselves...if they have meetings or patients.

absolutely
you should if you can
majority of the time faculty will honor their time commitment and interview you. Thus if you know who your interviewer is, you can read up about them (research interests, likes, lab dislikes, etc) on their bio page on the department website. Even knowing what speciality they belong too is enough information to find a common ground for relaxed high yield conversation.
