hey guys.Just out of curiousity..what is the difference between personal statement and CV?

I have applied to a research position and they are asking for CV...I just want input if CV should include personal statement as applying for residency or this is different.

Hey guys.I am in middle of an application.I really want to know what is the difference as there is nothing to write on my CV except..I AM A GRADUATE.I would appreciate if someone drops a line or two on this.I have been staring on the screen for half an hour now...for God;s sake !!!

They are different.PS states why you applying,your strengths and weakness,past life experience and research experience that qualifies you for the position or got you interested in the position.CV is not the above

use the same that is in your common application form in eras as your cv
