Ranking according to type of Visa ?????? - img_from_nepal

Please help me clarify this .... When a program ranks applicants .... will the type of visa either j1 of h1b change the ranking ... I mean will a program rank an applicant higher if he or she has chosen j1 visa ?????

may be,, by some programs,,, if two guys with same cred. etc. gets stuck,, then ofcourse they'l choose the J1 as less paperwork. But there are lots of trick betn. J1 and H1,, choose it wisely,, depending upon your sub/ yr.of resi/fello/ pre or cat. H1 is not always better than J1 ,, sometimes it may ruin your plan. Yes there's lot to know about, than what your best friend told u. GL
