Worried...help me... - azum

I applied to 75 programs in early October and got invitations from 8 hospitals(some are good some are not). Right now I'm studying stpe3 and will take it in the first week of December. Right after that I'm going to start interviews until mid January.

My worry is that I don't know it's good for me to postpone the step 3 schedule to late January when I'm fully ready or just take it on scheduled day and barely pass it.

Which is better for matching?
Late result with rather good score or early result with barely passing score?
By the way I need h1 visa.

If you want H1 visa then passing is enough.
Some programs may offer you pre-match if you have step 3 scores ready or atleast they will rank you higher if you've cleared it.
