Apply for Dependent J2 visa along with / after J1 - cyneuron

I am going to apply for J1 visa this year for Residency. I am also getting married before my visa application.

So my questions is that does it make any difference that my wife applies for her J2 dependent visa along with me or after me ?

In any case, which is preferable ?
