am 2009 grad did 212 in step 2 last october preparing now for step one in next few months
so far looking for j1 visa ,my question can i got IM or pediatrics if i did higher score on step one?
and please specify to how much?
did you recommend for continuing in my pathway?

230+ for a shot at IM
peds also competitive.
as important as scores are other things like USCE, research etc

try to do well on your next exam. i have friends who have prematched into IM with step 1 scores ranging from 195-205. i think most programs look at your overall package, not just your scores. good luck!

an essential prat of the match is to apply go for it. bur try to get your step 1 higher most program have a stronger filter for step1 than step2.and dont mess up cs and you'll be fine
