central cord:
Most often the damage is to the cervical or upper thoracic regions of the spinal cord, and characterized by weakness in the arms with relative sparing of the legs with variable sensory loss.(lines copied from wiki)
note that there is some involment of legs present althu in syringo i think there is no involvement.

in syringo: . A syrinx may also cause disruptions in the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems, leading to abnormal body temperature or sweating, bowel control issues, or other problems.
Patients may experience severe chronic pain, abnormal sensations and loss of sensation particularly in the hands.(i think central cord does not have pain)

Anterior cord syndrome :
Ant. cord syndrome is often associated with flexion type injuries(syringo whip lash injury) to the cervical spine, causing damage to the anterior portion of the spinal cord and/or the blood supply from the anterior spinal artery. Below the level of injury (means not limited to upper limbs) motor function(flaccid paralysis, no stiffness of back and shoulder as in syringo. )
, pain sensation, and temperature sensation are lost.(no chronic pain as in syringo)(no cape like distribution)
While touch, proprioception (sense of position in space), and sense of vibration remain intact.
