Vivid: if it is ok with you, there are two hostels that are not too far from Pennsylvania hospital. They are very inexpensive about $22/night but you do not have your private room.

Otherwise the most inexpensive hotel inside the city should be Divine Tracy hotel in the university city (sorry I thought you were interviewing in Hospital of UPenn) 20 South 36th Street, Philadelphia, PA., 19104. Phone: (215) 382-4310. However, women have to wear dresses or skirts (not pants).

The rate is about $45/night, from there you can either take a taxi or subway (the subway station is very close) to the hospital.

Other hotels in downtown Philly are all significantly more expensive.
