Find a resident website - dtw
#1
Hey guys, does anyone know if this website really works?
Does it affect my application on ERAS or NMRP?
I am not sure if I will match because of my low scores. So I was wondering if I should register at findaresident now or wait until the match result.
What would you recommend? If I dont match is it worth registering before the scramble?
Does anyone know anything?

It does not affect your chances with ERAS.

Some programs post their open positions there. But I have not heard any success story.
A few times I compared its offerings with FP hotline list. The site did not have ANY positions from the hotline.

It does not hurt to give it a try. You never know...

dtw,

i would surely recommend that website.. being enrolled in ERAS/NRMP you get concessional rate for registration... your account will be active from the time you enroll till begining of next season... it will not hurt your chance to get matched anyway... as programs search through this website only after post match scramble to fill their vacant positions.... how it will be turned in to your favor depends upon your credentials, your interview performance and off course programs' like/dislike...

good luck...
