#1
- Richmond program, Staten Island, NY (no fellowship but affiliated w/ SUNY Downstate, Westchester, Metropolitan)
- Sinai Grace, Detroit, MI (no fellowship but affiliated w/ Detroit med. center, preference at Wayne state uni.)
- Uni. of Nevada, Las Vegas, NV (currently oncology only but PD said they're going to start other in 2-3 yrs)

My main concern is Fellowship (GI/Pulm/Nephro). I'm sure about my other top n bottom choices but I'm bit confused about these three. So please help guys. Thanking you in anticipation.

hi dr.sam8685.
i ived at sinai grace hospital IM prog. as well. The resident who took us on the hospital tour said that the affiliation of sinai grace hospital is not that strong with WSU n it is a very busy program. U get to do 1 or 2 electives max at WSU n they do not in particular favor SGH grads for fellowship.
But this is just one PGY-1 resident...so not sure
Do u have any latest reviews on the program? how wud u compare it with programs like Union memorial hospital, baltimore; st. lukes, MO?

I don't know about Richmond..
But Vegas program has much better opportunities for fellowships than Sinai Grace.
Look at their fellowship history..quite impressive; even 4 Cardios in 2011.
