Rank risk factors for suicide - haga
#1
So a common question that they love asking is which factor is most important in assessing an individuals risk for suicide. We all know these factors BUT here's the tricky part (they never make it easy)....in the stem they will list a patient displaying multiple suicide factors and then they ask you to pick which one is the most important.

I don't think I've come across a listing yet which has ranked them in order of importance....does anyone know if such a ranking exists and what it is???

So here's my attempt at making a ranking....feel free to change it around to what you might think. Something like this should help us get some extra points.

1. Organized plan
2. Previous attempt
3. Depression
4. Ethanol or drug use
5. sickness
6. no spouse or family members
7. sex (male)
8. Age
9. loss of rational thinking
