Guys I am going to start my residency.
I want to knw what is the difference between temp and permnt license? which one I should get?

you cant get a permanent license unless u have taken all ur steps including step3, so if u havent u can only get temporary,

You also need internship completed to get a permanent license.

There is something very important and it is your personal statement. Your scores are great, so must likely many programs went through your application, It could be that your PS is not strong enough.
If they don't like the PS they wont invite you for an iv. Double check the PS and ask for second opinions. I gave mine to different physicians (friends) to get their feedback...it helped a lot. Good luck next match |
