do we need to send the patient from office to er or inpatient for the management of acute asthma attack of a 4 yo boy? if not when to send the pt home? after checking with pefr? also, do we need to put lab orders such as cbc bmp ua when the asthma attack is mild, in the office case?

I think you would have to send him to the er because you would need to give albuterol neb and than check the hourly pefr that to what % of his best can it be improved and base on that you would decide to admit or send home
