old patient on dialysis, 6 months after starting the dialysis the patient does not want to continue??what should you do??

i remember reading somewhere that dialysis pt under delirium says to stop n gets agitated due to electrolyte abnormalities bt the physcian shud not stop the dialysis as pt not competent to make decision in delirium so continue the dialysis. as per behavioral.

the patient at beginning agree for dialysis, but after 6 months the patient did not like it and ask the physician to discontinue.....

no idea i was refering to started dialysis n wants to stop in that case contnue.

yeah stop the dialysis...once he accepted he can break it by even orally at any time during procedure,, if he is competent he can ..go with him
