on an autopsy from a man who dies of massive hemorrhage,a rubbery red mass is seen in arterial lumen that is not showing layering and can easily be detached from the wall..what is it.
1.occlusive embolus
2.occlusive thrombus
3.mural thrombus
4.canalized thrombus
5.post martum clot..
plz can we discuss the features of thrombus and clot also?

Clot does not have a shape, thrombus has.
clot is just made up of platelets.. no fibrin, thrombus has both.
there are lines of zhan in a thrombus not in a clot.

yup layering is due to lines of zahn alternating withlighter strips having plts and fibrin.it is not seen in clot,present in thrombus
