Just realised I lost my DS2019 - jetch

Dear All,

I got my passport back with J1Visa about 3 weeks ago, but I never checked that I didnt get my ds2019 with it.

Then I flew to USA and port of entry let me through without any problem.

I just realised that I didnt have my ds2019 when my pc told me that she needed it.

What should I do now? I called my friends they all said that when they got their passports back they also got their ds2019 clipped with the passports. But mine was not.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don't worry u can call us embassy in India. They might help you or else hire a lawyer. He will get u new one.

do u have a B1 in your passport?
If yes then probably imigration let u in with a B1 visa. This could be a problem in terms of starting residency.
However if u entered with a J1 visa....no big deal. ECFMG can issue u a new one

I entered with a J1 but I dont no why they let me in...

Now trying to contact ECFMG for new one.
